Although the calendar has noted fall is officially here, there are still warm days and only a few cooler mornings and evenings. So finding the right wardrobe balance can be tricky. However, there are some small adjustments you can make with your wardrobe to transition into the fall season.
Wear plaid: Plaid is for fall. Simple! It’s what you are supposed to wear in fall and I agree. Plaid fashion pieces are often designed from warmer fabric in a variety of different colors. Stores are usually flooded with a host of style options such as plaid shirts, pants, scarves, bags, etc. It’s an easy way to bring the feel of fall into your wardrobe.
Include animal print: Yes, this tip can go either way as far as seasons go, but animal prints and textures are warm and ideal as it gets cooler. I think of leather, fur, and wool. You can also choose from faux options. In this look, I choose a cowhide clutch that I ABSOLUTELY adore for my fall fashion vibe.
Wear your hair out: Yeap! Hair is HOT! I know mine is. It’s lovely and feels like a cozy blanket on my head. This is the absolute best time to let your hair down and bring fresh new energy to your fall style. Everyone is used to seeing you with your hair up to avoid sweating it out, so change things and let your hair out.
Add nude colors: I know my jam is bright colors, BUT, color is color. I love how nude tones clash with my brights. Although nude colors (brown, tan, beige, neutral) have a tendency to take over during the cooler weather months, I keep my bright colors but include the nudes for the perfect combination.
It’s exciting to move into new weather and fashion season. You get to change up your outfits to fit the cooler weather in style. And although it’s still warm at times, you can make a few changes to your wardrobe to align with the new season.
