If there is one thing I am learning during this pandemic, it is having a sustainable wardrobe just makes sense. A sustainable wardrobe is also more practical for the remote and slower lifestyles we all have been forced into due to a global pandemic. And it is more affordable.
I can barely wait to wear flirty skirts and lighter clothes overall. Oddly enough, I am not shopping as much for new spring clothes. Because I never wore a lot of my 2020 spring outfits due to the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine.
So this past weekend, I pulled out what I call our summer boxes, where we store away our seasonal clothes. And I found loads of spring goodies that I stashed away.
But I am still adding new colorful pieces like maxi and midi skirts and dresses with new sneakers to my wardrobe this spring. I share day-to-day outfits over on my Instagram. So go ahead and follow me there if you are not already.
Off-Season Shopping
I also caught some off-season sales in 2020 when fashion brands were practically giving away good stuff. So pieces were a lot more affordable. & Other Stories became my favorite spring shopping hub as I upped my style game as far as quality pieces. Yes, shopping at & Other Stories is a bit pricer, but purchasing higher quality items is important to me now. However, in all transparency, 99% of what I purchased from & Other Stories was on sale so I did not overspend. I can’t help it. A red tag does something to me, and I am more eager to buy.
Thrifting is Trending
I will always be a thrift shopper. I got it from my momma. Not to mention how economical it is to purchase retro pieces and add them to new pieces in my wardrobe. I got more jeans to distress and transition into shorts, linen pants for my mini-me and, genuine leather belts.
Oversized Styles
If you have not heard, oversized fashion is trending. Yeah, I was never a big fan of wearing oversize anything. I always preferred tailor-cut blazers and shirts. But I have been experimenting with styling oversize pieces, and I am in love with it. Check out my youtube on an H&M haul, to see how I styled the oversize blazers I picked up.
Until next time, Enjoy Your Style!
