Raise your hand if you like head wraps (both my hands are up!!). Head wraps, hats, wigs, weave, etc. all serves the purpose of dodging a bad hair day. Being an adult and mom is hard work. But I still can’t look a glaring mess no matter how life is treating me.
There are days I set my natural hair with twists or plats and I refuse to take them down to do the same set a few hours before bed. On those days, I pull out my head wraps for a polished look, and carve out a striking look for the day.
I started wearing head wraps in college and since I was not a fan of micro braids, I needed a hair solution after long study nights or weeks. Head wraps back then was my go to style with sneakers. Lately, I have resurrected my head wraps and added some real spunk.
I am convinced that head wraps have a natural companion, LEGGINGS. Since one of my latest fashion crave is leather pants, it made sense to pair my head wrap with leather leggings.
If I am honest the next expected companion for head wraps are hoop earrings. But of course, I don’t go with the flow too long. I went with front back stud earrings instead.
The things with head wraps is that they can be worn year-round and with practically anything. I like to pair head wraps with shorts, skirts, jeans and even dress slacks for a more sophisticated look.
Whatever way you choose to wear head wraps, add your signature flare with accessories, flats, sneakers, blazers or t-shirts. The goal here is to keep life simple and easy. You have a lot on your plate and you need easy ways to keep it movin.
