July 4th in the United States is the climax of the nations celebrations. Patriotic colors of Red white and blue are everywhere. Travel plans, family reunions, cookouts and various festivities are planned for the extended weekend to commemorate our independence.
For this look, I wanted to feature symbols of our nations history. Starting with our nations flag. Stars and stripes are simply classic and synomous with our freedom over the past 200+ years.
My flag shawl is very lite weight for Georgia’s heat. It’s a piece I plan to wear over my bathing suits this summer as a coverall. Comfort is required in most of what I wear so white jeggings set the stage for a relaxed fit and style.
I have so many memories of my dad wearing aviator sunglass and seeing them worn in all the military movies we shared with him growing up. They are symbolic of American patriotism and the perfect Independence Day accessory.
The way we dress is such an expression of our freedom. We can choose colors and pieces based on our individual taste and personality. Wheter you are celebrating our nations holiday in shorts and sandals or boots and jeans, remeber that freedom is everything.
