I love breaking the mold in fashion. The expectation for sequins is glamour, and rightfully so, it is glamourous. However, I wanted this to be a jazzy downtown evening ensemble. The sequin dress was not only the main piece but also represented the accessories. Everything else about this look had to complement the sequins. Bold lip color added contrast. A short afro made the look edgy with round rose gold mirrored sunglasses. I went on the opposite side of the color wheel with low 4” tan pumps which are perfect for walking and saving on the commute. My platinum clutch faded into the background but added contemporary class with its clean lines.
