Merry Christmas loves!! We are just ONE week away from Christmas Day and what a month it has been. I’ve truly enjoyed the entire season thus far with my birthday and preparing for a festive holiday. It’s always important for me to make new holiday fun and re-live our traditions.
I can’t say my daughter is 100% interested in putting out all the décor, but the look on her face when she see’s the nutcrackers, lights, stockings, and ornaments all come together, my efforts are all worth it.
I must say the most important tradition for me is holiday Christmas cards. Getting all dressed up, or down, finding the right location, keeping it fun and printing the actual cards…..whewww!! It is a very intentional process. But when I look back 3 Christmases, and see how much my daughter has grown, I get butterflies in my tummy to see how much she has changed.
My daughter and I have come through a lot together but this is the time we celebrate not only our wins but something bigger than us. Sharing and loving others from the love we have received. Our faith has sustained us through this time. Where we are today would be impossible aside from our faith and knowing our heavenly Father’s love for us. We are blessed beyond measure with healthy relationships, a peaceful home and pure JOY! I am beyond thankful!!
If you are experiencing a separation or divorce during this season, just remember this is not the end but a new beginning. It will take effort to forgive, heal and move forward. However, that is a choice that brings reward after reward. This Christmas season, make peace with yourself, choose to forgive and make yourself some fun!!
